Dr. Shai Lev-Tzion was born in 1963 in New York City. He learned in Yeshiva University, where he received his B.A. while pursuing advanced Torah studies. Subsequently, Dr. Lev-Tzion studied at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and in 1989, he received his dental (D.D.S.) degree. During this period, he learned for a year at Yeshivat Har Etzion, as well. After graduation, Dr. Lev-Tzion worked as a dentist for several years in the U.S., including a year of practicing dentistry combined with advanced, post doctoral education, in a General Practice Residency in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
In 1992, Dr. Lev-Tzion made aliya, and for many years served as an army reserves dentist. In 1993, Dr. Lev-Tzion began to work with Dr. Gedaliah Mordechai Stern when he opened his new office on K.K.L. Street in Rechavia. Over the years, the practice developed and grew, incorporating many new doctors, and eventually moved several years ago to its current, modern and expanded office, at Ussishkin 57.
During these years, Dr. Lev-Tzion had the opportunity to learn from Dr. Stern, one of the country's pioneers in implantology, while acquiring extensive and diverse personal experience in dental implants, as well as in all other branches of dentistry.
Early in his dental career, Dr. Lev-Tzion noted that many patients felt dental treatment to be traumatic. As a result, he set himself a goal to develop methods that enable every patient to receive the ideal dental treatment, yet with the utmost comfort. Feeling a responsibility to provide his patients with the best care possible, and out of a love of his profession, Dr. Lev-Tzion has participated in countless continuing education courses, advancing his knowledge and abilities in all areas of dentistry. He feels that helping people regain their lost health, comfort, function and esthetics, through dentistry, is his mission in life.
Over the years, Dr. Lev-Tzion has belonged to many professional organizations, including Alpha Omega, American Dental Association, Israeli Dental Association, Israel Association of Oral Implantology, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the Jerusalem Dental Forum.
Dr. Lev-Tzion participated as the dental consultant in a medical Halacha book ("The Puah book") which was recently published by the Puah institute.
Dr. Lev-Tzion lives with his wife and children in the town of Kochav Hashachar in the Binyamin region.
